KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing:
-Be key point of contact for marketing, sponsorship, and event enquiries.
-Produce quality written and visual content for media, PR, and website; integrate written and visual content from a variety of sources and uphold brand guidelines.
-Work with a variety of sources to generate written and visual content for the website and maintain a library of high-quality images and video.
-Assist in building relationships and maintaining a database of key partners/stakeholders such as chambers, consulates, local government.
-Increase awareness and visibility of the school online and offline
-Foster relationships with marketing partners, media, relocation agents and community
-Guide the development of marketing campaign execution at the direction of the DAM
-Ensure MAC team awareness of school activities, events and highlights to develop content for newsletter/website/media articles.
Media, PR & Communications
-Develop and deliver PR/Communications & Content Plan with DAM.
-Ensure an appropriate and diverse range of tools exist to implement efficient and effective communications to agreed audiences.
-Build awareness of the school’s brand through online and offline media channels.
-Recognise and maximise PR and media opportunities and develop modern media mix for existing and prospective parents.
-Build and maintain media relationships.
-Produce press releases, advertisements, marketing campaigns to print and online media.
-Coordinate, compile and quarterly newsletter for partners.
-Increase media presence in both physical and digital press.
-Improve SEO optimisation for school.
Digital & Website
-Assist in website updates, blog entries, news stories, etc.
-Maintain and develop the website as a marketing tool particularly in regard to content and SEO.
-Review and enhance website content and suggest improvements to enhance user experience.
-Review statistics and monitor analytics with the DAM.
-Produce reports for website & social media analytics, and campaign outcomes.
-Track the implementation of the digital marketing strategy and propose actions to improve lead generation.
Event Management
-Create and maintain a calendar of MAC events.
-Manage and coordinate internal and external events programme for MAC activities.
-Support PTA and internal stakeholders for event logistics where appropriate.
-Maximise branding opportunities to promote the school through community-focus events.
-Attend and coordinate weekly event management meeting with heads of schools.
-Coordinate and manage key school events Winter Fair, Temple Fair, Summer Fair, and International Fair, along with minor events such as Corporate Cocktails.
-Support to fulfilment of external events by our Academic Team, such as school fairs and the showcasing of our performing arts and music departments, e.g. choir, band, or theatrical performances.
Brand Management
-Manage and protect the school brand.
-Assist the DAM in training staff on brand guidelines.
-Ensure alignment to brand guidelines as required.
Social Media
-Increase the school’s online presence.
-Increase engagement on social media across all relevant platforms, including our current: Meta, LinkedIn, Weixin, Rednote, Douyin, Naver.
-Review and report a summary on social forums and commentary of the school, produce an action plan on suggested areas of improvement.
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the digital marketing activities of international schools market in Beijing, and other tier one cities.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS
-Qualified bachelor’s degree level in marketing or communications.
-Proven track record in marketing management and event coordination experience.
-A track record in developing strong relationships with clients, including with young people and parents.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (other languages are a bonus).
-Proven track record of ensuring good progress and outcomes for multiple stakeholder groups at a successful enterprise.
-Ability to integrate technology into marketing and events
-A strong awareness of AI and its usability in marketing.
-Good awareness of the international education industry, the market conditions facing the British School of Beijing, and the key competencies of the school and its competitors.
-Skilled in soft-sales with a track record of success in sales.
-Strong awareness of data-to-insights and the application of data in strategy and action.
-Good background of running multi-channel campaigns in marketing.
