Job Title: Group School Systems Manager
Location: WAS Campus
Reporting to: Head of Enterprise Systems &Infrastructure
Working with: Heads of School, Academic Directors/Deputy, IT teams, and administrative leaders
Contract Length: 01 August 2025 – 31 July 2028
The Group School Systems Manager is a strategic leadership role overseeing the implementation, integration, optimization, and governance of all non-IT-managed digital systems used across Wycombe Abbey China schools. This includes—but is not limited to—iSAMS, SOCS, and CPOMS, with potential for additional platforms as the group’s systems ecosystem evolves.
The role ensures that these tools are consistently aligned to support teaching,
learning, safeguarding, co-curricular programming, and operational excellence across all campuses.
This position is full-time, held by a current or incoming staff member with strong academic systems and data experience, and includes a defined strategic scope and annual allowance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic System Leadership
1)Serve as the groupwide authority on academic and operational systems not managed by the IT department.
2)Work with the Head of Enterprise Systems and Infrastructure to set a cohesive vision and roadmap for school systems development across the group.
3)Ensure platforms serve educational, safeguarding, co-curricular, and administrative goals efficiently and securely.
2.iSAMS Leadership
1)Lead strategic use and development of the iSAMS MIS system across all campuses.
2)Coordinate module implementation, training, reporting, and usage governance.
3)Standardize workflows and improve schoolwide data quality and user experience.
3.Additional Systems Management (Non-IT)
- SOCS (Sports & ECA Management):
- Oversee schoolwide and groupwide configuration, usage, and training.
- Ensure consistent term setup, student activity tracking, and fixture management.
- Coordinate with Sports Directors and ECA Coordinators.
- CPOMS (Safeguarding Platform):
- Ensure correct access permissions, workflows, and data confidentiality across campuses.
- Align safeguarding reporting practices across the group.
- Support Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) and Heads of School.
- Additional platforms (as introduced):
- Evaluate potential new platforms (e.g., assessment, boarding, wellbeing,
co-curricular), lead procurement recommendations, and oversee rollout.
- Consolidate system usage reports to evaluate impact and user engagement.
- Coordinate training and support with school leaders and designated champions.
4.iSAMS Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of iSAMS implementation, development, and optimization.
- Standardize data usage and workflows across assessment, timetable, reporting,admissions, attendance, and other modules.
- Deliver groupwide training and maintain a team of “iSAMS Champions” in each school.
- Align iSAMS with new systems and digital initiatives (e.g., LMS integration).
- Monitor KPIs, user satisfaction, and report to the Executive Team termly.
- Ensure data governance and regulatory compliance are upheld in all areas.
5.Data Governance & Reporting
- Oversee school groupwide data structures and policies across all non-IT systems.
- Maintain high data accuracy, especially around student, staff, co-curricular, and safeguarding records.
- Create dashboards and automated reports for senior leadership using system data.
- Work with academic and administrative teams to ensure actionable reporting insights.
6.Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate closely with:
- Heads of School and Deputies
- Academic Directors
- ECA Coordinators
- DSLs and safeguarding teams
- IT teams and platform vendors
- Maintain open feedback channels across schools to ensure local needs inform group strategy.
7.Training & Support Leadership
- Lead onboarding and professional development sessions for new and existing users.
- Maintain and distribute clear documentation, SOPs, and troubleshooting resources.
- Establish “system champions” or superusers for each platform at each campus.
8.System Integration & Development
- Coordinate with IT and vendors to ensure interoperability between systems (e.g.,syncing student rosters between iSAMS and SOCS).
- Support the introduction and piloting of new tools as part of digital strategy
initiatives.

6. Connect iSAMS data with other data sources for in depth reporting.

Skills& Competencies
Must Have:
- Extensive Knowledge of iSAMS and strong familiarity with educational platforms (e.g., SOCS, CPOMS)
- Demonstrated expertise with multiple iSAMS modules (e.g., assessment, reporting,behaviour, attendance, timetable, parent portal).

- Ability to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across school systems.
- Reporting & Analysis Skills
- Proficient in generating, interpreting, and distributing academic and operational reports using iSAMS.

- Preferred:
- Previous Experience Leading Groupwide Systems Initiatives
- In multi-campus or education group environments.
- Familiarity with System Integrations
- Knowledge of connecting iSAMS with LMS (e.g., Curriculum.com), HR, or finance platforms.
- Understanding of Academic Structures in Bilingual/International Schools.
- Especially curriculum reporting, international grading, and data compliance.
- Dashboard and Data Visualization Tools
- Experience with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or custom iSAMS dashboards.
- Change Management Certification or Training
- Familiarity with structured frameworks (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter) for leading change.
- Chinese Language Skills
- Helpful for working with local staff, IT, or vendors in China-based schools.
- Experience as a Data Manager, Academic Administrator, or IT Lead.
- Previous role with systems accountability or school-level implementation.
